The Adventure Begins

Dear Partners and Friends,

I am so excited to share this blog space with you where we will have weekly updates on the building of Legacy Church! Our goal is to take you along on this amazing journey with us and tell you all of our GLORY STORIES along the way. Jesus is building His church and we are so honored to be apart!

We have some exciting news…This week we closed on our Legacy Church property! The grounds include 151 acres with a large commercial building that we can convert into a church and 9 cabins that we can use to host pastors and ministry guests. We believe this property will serve as a platform from which we will reach the nations- a local church with a global call, a place where Jesus is seen brightly, heard clearly, and magnified more than any other man or woman. The platform we’re building together is for Him and His Word!

With closing on the property, we can officially announce the location of Legacy Church… Green Mountain Falls, Colorado! Approximately 15 minutes outside of Colorado Springs, and only 10 minutes from Woodland Park off of Highway 24.

As you can see by the pictures the property will need a lot of love, but we know that within His plan there will be complete provision. Our new building is a 30,000 square foot facility with classrooms, offices, a commercial kitchen and a gym that we are converting to a sanctuary. We believe that at $100 per square foot we can buy up the entire property and begin our buildout as we get ready for services.

Here’s where we are at this week –

This is miraculous! Almost 50 percent of the project funds have come in and we’re all rejoicing over what God has done! We believe we’ll have all that we need right on time!

On another note, we met with the architect and general contractor this week and construction is starting right away on the church building! We’ve also had some of our team renovating one of the cabins to use as a temporary office space for Pearsons Ministries this summer.

Packing is underway in our Fort Worth location and our whole staff is excited to be moving our ministry and families this week! Stay tuned for more!

Much love,

Sarah
